Without further ado, let's cut to the chase and dive right into the main part of the update! As a result of the enhancement works, the Google PageSpeed optimization score for uKit sites has increased by 30%! On average, the score is 80 out of 100 or even higher while the average load time has dropped to 3 seconds.
And the website optimization developments don’t end at this point. In the future, we will perform a series of works aimed at speeding up the loading.
New Currencies for Online Shop
A batch of new currencies is now available for eCommerce websites:
- New Zealand dollar (NZD);
- Australian dollar(AUD);
- Canadian dollar (CAD);
- New Israeli sheqel (ILS);
- South African rand (ZAR);
- Georgian lari (GEL);
- Bulgarian lev (BGN);
- Vietnamese dong (VDN);
- Turkish lira (TRY);
- Syrian pound (SYP).
Please note that PayPal supports the first 4 currencies on the list above, while Wallet One handles these 2 (ZAR, GEL). Consequently, if you need to enable a Bulgarian lev, dong, lira or pound in your store, you need to switch to offline payment.
At the moment, our team is working hard behind the scenes to optimize the foundational elements of the uKit platform. This may not be as noticeable as the new feature releases, but is also of great importance as it lets you work on your websites without hitches and enables us to implement new and exciting stuff much faster in the future.
